mindarin.app is a static site. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising or analytics tools and no cookies that would require consent. Your chosen language is kept in the local storage of your browser; that value never reaches us.
When you load the page our server processes the usual access data: IP address, time, requested file, status code and amount of data transferred. This is technically necessary to serve the site and to detect attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure operation. The servers are located at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany.
Your cards, recordings and settings are on your device. There is no account. Apart from the features described below, none of it leaves your device.
If you make a recording and cloud processing is switched on, the recording is sent to our service api.mindarin.app and passed on to a transcription service that turns it into text. The recording is not stored after the conversion.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because the conversion is the service you asked for. Do not dictate anything you do not want to share.
The recognised text can be passed to Anthropic so that sorted cards can be created from it. Processing takes place on servers that may be located outside the European Union, including in the United States. For transfers to third countries we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission.
Only the text of the recording is transmitted. No name, no email address, no account. Sorting can be switched off; the app then sorts on the device.
So that the service cannot be abused as a free interface, our server counts the minutes used per device. For this the app sends a random device identifier that has no link to your person. Only that identifier and the counter are stored, not the content. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Reminders for due cards are scheduled as local notifications on your device. No data leaves your device for this.
You delete all data by deleting the app. Individual cards can be deleted in the app itself.
An email to info@pikproduction.com is enough.
This site and the service are only reachable over an encrypted connection. You can see this from https in the address bar.
